About Us
Turning Tides is an award-winning, inclusive community organisation creating opportunities for people of all ages to grow, connect, and move forward. Founded in 2023 as FoMS Kidz, we began as a youth organisation but quickly recognised a gap in support across the wider community, shaping what is now Turning Tides. We create and deliver a wide range of targeted projects and initiatives that support individuals at every stage of life, promote wellbeing, and strengthen connections — making a lasting difference within our communities. Our work includes a variety of focused programmes designed to respond to local needs, providing meaningful opportunities that directly benefit the communities we serve, including early intervention and prevention work to reduce youth anti-social behaviour. Our intergenerational approach connects people across all ages — building understanding, confidence, and a shared sense of pride in our communities. At Turning Tides, we believe positive change starts with the right support, the right environment, and people who care.

Turning Tides is open to everyone. We support children, young people, adults, and families and aim to be inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to all.
We’re incredibly grateful to have received a £1,000 grant from the ASDA Foundation following a successful application to support our work at Turning Tides. Our children also recently took part in a litter pick at ASDA Llandudno, where the team presented the cheque and we got to say a big thank you in person!
